30. the Turkish Super League round offered us an interesting duel between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce. The visitors won the first half 2: 0, but the home side equalised and it seemed that both teams would share the points. But it didn’t happen.
In the 87th minute, 30-year-old striker Michy Batshuayi, who you may remember from Chelsea or Borussia Dortmund, made the decisive goal. The second-placed Fenerbahce therefore trailed the team from Trabzon by a whopping 30 points, while Trabzonspor are third.
But after the game, something happened that we definitely don’t want to see on football lawns. The home fans couldn’t take the defeat and one of them decided to take to the pitch. He ran straight after the Fenerbahce players, who certainly didn’t want to be attacked.
So they reacted with a counter-attack, which did not please the other Trabzonspor supporters who ran to help him. Security tried to react but were not quick enough.
Batshuayi showed not only football skills
The aforementioned Batshuayi then took the lead, as he saw a fan running past and decided to knock him down with a kung-fu kick. It worked out brilliantly and he is now a social media star.
In other footage, you can see that the fan was also hit by Bright Osayi-Samuel, or a fan holding a flag and trying to hit someone with it. A fist to the face, according to certain footage, was taken by goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic.
The incident is already under investigation and the Turkish Football Association itself has condemned the events and made it clear that heavy penalties will be handed out. However, we will have to wait some time for their pronouncement.
