The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has completed its sixth tournament of the season. This time without Czech participation, but we could witness a beautiful finish with a spinning kick. It was done by the Swede Sadibou Sy.
The PFL organization works in a different way than other organizations. It runs on seasons, and now it has already held its sixth tournament of the year 2023.
There was no Czech representative at the sixth tournament of the season, Martina Jindrova struggled a week earlier, notching her second defeat of the season and third in a row.
The highlight of the last tournament was the fight between Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Anthony Romero, with the former winning by KO in the third round.
But the most interesting moment of the gala took place shortly before that. The Swede Sadibou Sy beautifully finished his Australian opponent Shane Mitchell.
The thirty-six year old fighter waited for the right moment and surprised Mitchell with a neat spinning kick that he had absolutely no time to react to.
The Australian immediately went down and the referee stopped the fight. It was the second win of the season for the Swede and his sixth in a row.
The last time he lost was in the second half of 2021, when he was not enough on points against Magomed Magomedkerimov, who defeated David Zawada, who you may know from the Octagon, at the same tournament.
