VIDEO: Unbelievable! Mbappé misses two penalties in a row, doesn’t even hit the empty net from a goal kick

Dumbass Day. That’s what you could call yesterday’s PSG vs Montpellier game for Kylian Mbappé. The Parisians star failed to give a penalty, it was repeated, but Mbappé failed again and still threw away the finish into an empty net.

Kylian Mbappé has probably never had a worse game than yesterday in his career. He was injured in the 21st minute after a penalty shootout and had to be substituted.

Yet the match started very promisingly, with PSG having a penalty kick opportunity in the seventh minute and looking to forget the last two league losses in a row.

Mbappé took the penalty, as usual, even though Messi was on the pitch, as the 23-year-old Frenchman has the right of first refusal thanks to his contract.

After a very slow, almost creeping run, he sent the ball to the left post at the perfect height for the goalkeeper and Benjamin Lecomte saved the penalty. Mbappé did not have to mourn though, the referee revealed that the Montpellier goalkeeper was not standing on the line and the penalty kick was replayed.

Mbappé wanted to show nerves of iron and took the penalty again. This time, after the same run, he sent it the other way, but Lecomte again jumped correctly and pushed the ball onto the bar with his fingertips.

From there it bounced back into the small whitewash to Mbappé, who cleared it into the empty net, only to shoot over the bar, much to the surprise of everyone present.

In addition, Mbappé had to make a substitution in the 21st minute due to injury and will want to forget the Montpellier game quickly.

The stupid match for PSG continued for a while, as ten minutes later Sergio Ramos was also injured, and then the visitors’ goal was disallowed twice for offside, first to Messi, then to Hakimi.

Fabian Ruiz and Lionel Messi gave PSG the lead in the second half, Montpellier reduced it to 1: 2 thanks to Nordin in the 89th minute, but Zaire-Emery adjusted it to the final 3: 1 in the 91st minute.
