It could have been a magical performance. First round with absolute grace. But in the end, Apollo ended up the loser and his efforts to train Mark Mazuch cost him dearly. The Slovakian fighter scored a great KO.
Recently, Octagon announced that they have signed Leandro Silva, better known as Apollo, to a multi-fight deal, so fans can look forward to more of his fights.
It should be mentioned that the Brazilian really entertains with his fights. After all, even the star David Kozma still rates him as his toughest opponent in his career. The UFC veteran has a lot of experience, even with boxing matches, which he showed on Saturday night at the O2 Arena.
His opponent was Marek Mazuch, who returned to the Octagon after a long time. And would it have been an easy fight for Apollo? At first it seemed so, but everything was different.
Apollo, however, put on a great show. He performed to a song he sang himself, and as is his wont, he wore his favorite mask.
The first round was absolutely perfect from Silva’s perspective. Mazuch threatened with hard shots, however Apollo showed great speed, a great eye and most importantly accuracy. His punches made a noticeable mark on the Slovak fighter’s face.
In addition, Apollo performed various dances and tried to entertain the fans. That’s also why after the first round he probably thought he was out of danger. But he badly miscalculated.
In the second round, Mazuch sent him into dreamland right from the start with an excellent right hook. We’ve never seen Apollo like this in the Octagon before. A knockout.
