Tottenham managed to win the tenth round of the Premier League, beating Everton 2:0 at home. The game was decided by Harry Kane’s bank from a controversial penalty, with Pierre Emile Hojbjerg scoring just before the end.

Spurs were clearly more active from the start, but they were not successful in the end. The game was very patchy, with sharp tackles on both sides. Demarai Gray had the first big chance in the 23rd minute, but in a good position he shot well over.

Everton then took the initiative, in the 29th Seamus Coleman tried from the edge of the box, but his shot was blocked by the defending players. Two minutes later, Harry Kane flashed a great individual action on the other side, Jordan Pickford had to intervene.

Everton managed a break in the 43rd minute, but Amadou Onana finished inaccurately high over. The game went to the box with no goal.

Harry Kane’s shot opened the second half. Pickford cleared the ball and Heung Min Son’s shot went over. In the 59th minute, Kane collapsed in the box trying to finish a Matt Doherty shot and the referee awarded a penalty kick.

The English cannonballer took the ball himself and shot to the left post to put the home side 1-0 up.

Tottenham kicked the goal, Kane shot again in the 70th minute, this time Pickford dealt with his cross. In the 85th minute, it was all over. Rodrigo Bentancur found Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, who made no mistake from the edge of the box.

Tottenham remain third after a 2-0 win, Everton are 14th.
