VIDEO: This is how to fight for a place! Tomas Ostrák jumped into the MLS game like a joker, scored after just one minute on the field, his team dominates their division

Tomáš Ostrák has been in the United States for more than a year and plays for the newly formed St. Louis City, which is currently in its first season in MLS. However, he does not have a stable place in the lineup, basically on the edge between the bench and the starting eleven. But on Sunday night into Monday, he asked for a spot.
He used to play for Cologne in the Bundesliga and made a name for himself with his quality performances for Karviná. Last summer, however, he made an unexpected, interesting and actually courageous move when he decided to leave Europe and head to the United States.
A year ago, Tomas Ostrak signed with St. Louis City, a team that was just getting its act together and preparing to join the MLS in the reserve and junior competition.
The skillful midfielder started the season in the starting lineup, but has been straddling the line between the starting eleven and the bench since the beginning. In half of the matches he started from the opening minutes, only twice he did not even get on the pitch for a minute.
Either way, his St. Louis is surprising all of America. They are the second best team in MLS, and they also rule the Western Conference with a seven-point lead over second-place Los Angeles FC.
And the Spur, who shone in his last match against Austin FC, has a part to play in that. The twenty-three-year-old midfielder came on in the 87th minute and scored in a 4:2 win over St. Louis.
Within the first minute on the pitch, Ostrak scored a great goal. He got to the ball in the opponent’s hexagonal box, quickly got free and sent the ball to the back post.
Ostrák has three goals and two assists this season. Former Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Bürki, for example, plays with him.
