VIDEO: That’s for the psychiatrist! Crazy tennis player Bublik smashed three rackets in 25 seconds

We’ve seen a lot of tantrums with tennis players where the racket or something else at hand takes it. But smashing three rackets in 25 seconds, we’ve never seen that before. And, unsurprisingly, it’s been handled by the boisterous Alexander Bublik.

The Kazakh tennis player is known for letting his emotions run high during matches. He’s faced punishment for his disciplinary infractions more than once.

But what he did at the ATP tournament in Montpellier is unprecedented. Bublik lost the first set to Gregoire Barrera 4-6, winning the second in a tiebreak.

Even the third set went to a tiebreak, but Bublik didn’t do well there. The 50th player on the ATP ranking was down 0:6 and his home opponent had a match point.

Bublik’s nerves started to bubble and he smashed his racket. But that was not enough, he reached the bench where he smashed two more rackets. In 25 seconds, he managed to damage three rackets.

The French crowd naturally booed the Russian-born player, as such behaviour definitely does not belong on tennis courts.

Bublik managed to reduce the tiebreak to 3::6, but he could not do more and Barrere brought the match to a victorious end: 6-4, 6-7 and 7-6.

Last year Bublik celebrated the title at the ATP in Montpellier, this year he will not defend his title, as he crashed in the first round.
