Well, that was a huge bummer for Real Madrid. Eduardo Camavinga sent a stunning shot at the Liverpool goal, but it was cleared off the crossbar by goalkeeper Alisson.

Liverpool are not in Real Madrid’s favour at all. They have lost 6 of their last 7 games, the only one ending in a draw.

In the first match, the Reds had the upper hand early on and were up 2-0 in the 14th minute. They were the better team, they had the upper hand and could have added more goals.

However, they eventually crumbled and before half-time Real Madrid equalised with two goals from Vinícius to make it 2-2. In the second half, Los Blancos added 3 more goals and took a comfortable lead.

In the rematch, the overwhelming pressure of Liverpool was expected right from the start, but it was rather the opposite. Real Madrid started very actively and could have added at least two goals.

After chances from Benzema and Vinícius, Camavinga tapped the ball in from outside the box and it almost turned into one of the best goals of the Champions League season.

The young midfielder received a pass a few yards outside the box from Nacho, looked up and sent a great projectile towards the Liverpool goal. However, goalkeeper Alisson easily crossed the ball and pushed it onto the crossbar.

This redeemed himself a little for the first game, where he made a huge mistake when he hit Vinícius on a cross, who equalised at 2-2.
