Arsenal responded to their Europa League exit by winning the London derby against Crystal Palace 4-1 at home. Bukayo Saka scored two goals and an assist to become the first player in the Premier League this season to have more than ten goals and assists.

Arsenal started actively, dominating but not getting shots off. On the other hand, Wilfried Zaha broke free in the tenth minute and curled a shot against the near post. Palace were relying on fast breaks.

Martin Odegaard fired in the 19th minute, but Joe Withworth made a good save. By the 28th minute, the Gunners were celebrating. Bukayo Saka found Gabriel Martinelli, who cleverly broke free and ripped the net with his left foot.

The Gunners calmed down with a goal in the 38th minute, Thomas Partey headed just wide. Two minutes later, Martin Odegaard missed the space between the three posts with a cross. But the Eagles were still trailing at halftime.

In the 44th minute, Ben White and Saka played well, the latter celebrating after a ground shot. After the change of sides, Arsenal quickly added an insurance goal, outmuscling the goalkeeper after a pass from Leandro Trossard.

In the 64th minute, Jeffrey Schlupp reduced the deficit after a corner kick thanks to a quick reaction. The visitors caught their second wind, eight minutes later Wilfried Zaha narrowly missed a great opportunity, which finally decided the game.

At the other end, Saka struck from a free-kick and Crystal Palace were definitely without a chance for points.

Arsenal lead the league by eight points after the win, Manchester City have a game in hand. The Seagulls are in 12th place but only three points above the relegation zone.
