VIDEO: Rangers even worse than Pilsen! Scottish giant suffered a home debacle against Liverpool, Salah breaks Champions League record
Viktoria Plzeň as a Champions League runner-up? She is not alone. What’s more, she’s not even the worst. Even worse is Scottish big club Rangers FC. The latter suffered a debacle at home to Liverpool on Wednesday, with Mohamed Salah setting the record.

The worst Champions League team this season? If you guessed the Czech Fortuna League champion, you’d be wrong. Scottish giants Rangers FC are even worse. Like Viktoria Plzen, it has 0 points, but has an even worse record.
Yet things started so promisingly on Wednesday night. A sell-out Ibrox Stadium, in the 17th minute, sent the home team into the lead after a beautiful combination by Scott Arfield. But then Roberto Firmino started to reign in a Liverpool jersey, and he didn’t become the star of the match anyway.
In the 24th minute Firmino scored a goal to make it 1-1, and ten minutes into the second half he turned the score in Liverpool’s favour. In the 66th minute, he assisted Darwin Núñez’s goal. But then two other players started to write the story of the match.
Namely Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota. The Egyptian star set a record by netting the fastest hat-trick in Champions League history. It was the Portuguese striker who assisted all three of Salah’s goals.
In the 87th minute, Harvey Elliott made it 7-1 to Liverpool.
Rangers are last in their group. They are without a point and boast an unflattering score of 1::16.
