VIDEO: Oscar Dorley a candidate for goal of the year? The Slavie star flashed a great penalty for the national team
When the fans of Slavia bet on the goal scorer in the matches of Susians, he is usually the last choice. This time, Oscar Dorley shone in the national jersey in a way the Czech public doesn’t know him. Even Olivier Giroud would not be ashamed of scoring such a goal.

Liberia opened the October national team meeting with a friendly at home on Saturday. The opponent was Libya and the spectators were not bored. The visitors took the lead in the third minute thanks to a penalty kick.
Just before the break, Mohammed Kamara equalised, but Libya took the lead back in the 50th minute. 14 minutes later, Oscar Dorley scored the best goal of the game.
A centred ball from the left side was struck by the Slavic all-rounder virtually blindly and he used his left heel to clear it exactly to the right post. He himself was so surprised by the whole situation that he didn’t know how to celebrate.
Oscar’s productivity is a joke in Slavia, Jindřich Trpišovský once said about him that when he shoots, his teammates automatically retreat to the defensive line and wait for the kick-off.
However, Oscar’s shooting handicap is clearly acceptable. He is excellent in all other attributes apart from headers. It is not for nothing that he is the most underrated and, according to some, the most important player in Slavia.
When needed, he played well at left back for Slavia. He is currently the best sixth man in the league, no one is his equal in terms of agility, defensive saves and the ability to switch from defence to attack.
Although Liberia cashed in on Oscar’s parade for the final 2:3, the crucial match awaits them on Tuesday. They will play Morocco in an African Cup of Nations qualifier. After three rounds, they have just one point and are five points behind the top two with three games to go.
