VIDEO: Onana has been at United for a while and can’t handle Maguire anymore. This is how he shouted at the England stopper during the game
Harry Maguire’s not having an easy time of it. He was recently stripped of his captain’s armband at Manchester United, the club are keen to get rid of him and he hasn’t been putting in the performances in training to claim his place. The new goalkeeper Andre Onana has given him a good talking to.

Manchester United have made him the most expensive defender on the planet. Leicester have shelled out £80m and had high hopes for Harry Maguire. At the start, the English stopper was the clear leader of the line-up, even getting the captain’s armband after a while.
But gradually his performances started to decline, he started to make huge mistakes that led to goals and last season he was completely benched. Before the new season, Erik ten Hag stripped him of his captain’s armband, plus Manchester United made it clear that he should look for a new deal.
So he flew to America for the tour with little hope of convincing everyone that he still had the quality to force his way into the starting line-up. In the game against Borussia Dortmund he got his chance from the opening minute.
Diogo Dalot opened the scoring, only for Dortmund to turn the score around within two minutes before half-time thanks to two goals from Donyel Malen. Heaton was replaced in goal by Onan at half-time and immediately had his hands full.
Maguire put a heavy ball into the path of Eriksen between three Dortmund players and the Danish player lost the ball. When the ball bounced to Brandt, Maguire still incomprehensibly thought Dalot was closer to the ball and instead of going back, he motioned for Dalot to run to the ball and ran towards the line away from the Dortmund midfielder.
Brandt laid the ball off to Haller, whose attempt was caught by Onana, then Adeyemi’s follow-up was headed wide of the target. Onana sprinted towards Maguire immediately after the chance and gave him a good lung-blowing tackle.
The Red Devils eventually managed to equalise at 2-2 thanks to Antony’s goal, but in the 71st minute Moukoko scored Dortmund’s winner. United thus recorded their third defeat in a row after wins against Leeds, Lyon and Arsenal, having failed to beat Wrexham, Real Madrid and Dortmund.
