Bellator has had another gala night in which we saw one exhibition KO in particular. It also won its author millions of crowns, so it brought great joy. That means a title shot. What more could you ask for?

America’s second largest organization is hosting two pyramids this year. In Bellator, fighters in the lightweight and bantamweight divisions could fight for the fabulous prize worth a million dollars, over 23 million crowns.

And the bantamweight division already has a winner. It’s Patrick Mix, who scored literally a million-dollar KO. He deserves that payday alone. In the first round, he finished Raufeon Stotts with a brutal knee in one minute and 20 seconds.

Mix has stolen the interim championship for himself, and a title fight awaits. He will face the rightful king of bantamweight. But he’ll have to wait and see who that will be.

The current champion, Patricio Pitbull, has a fight with Sergio Pettis. The winner will then face Mix.

It’s worth noting that this knockout was extremely valuable for Mix for a number of reasons. I see him as a great ground man. After all, despite a terrific 18-1 record, this was only his second career knockout.

Otherwise, the American fighter notched 12 wins by submission. He first finished his opponent by knockout in 2019, but he wasn’t in Bellator then.

He now has a 7-1 record in America’s second-largest organization. He lost his first fight, but has been on a winning streak ever since.
