VIDEO: Messi found Neymar fantastically to outshine the Brazilian and Mbappé, Donnaruma saved PSG three points with a penalty

It should have been a peaceful afternoon. At least for the fans of the best French team at the moment. The team from Brest arrived in the capital and, after a poor start to the season, will probably have a lot to do to avoid relegation.
PSG was therefore the clear favourite. A clear and dominant win was expected. Moreover, the star trio of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé were not missing from the line-up. Overall, it cannot be said that the line-up was weak.
But the Parisians only won 1: 0 and even had to worry about winning. The only goal was scored by Neymar, who was found by Messi with a great pass in the 30th minute. And it was the legendary Argentine who was the only one of the star trio to play the full 90 minutes.
Mbappé left the field in the 78th minute, Neymar a minute earlier. The former put in an average, if not below average performance. The Brazilian has nothing to be ashamed of, a 7.6 rating from WhoScored says it all. However, Messi, with a score of 8.8, had no competition.
PSG, however, had another hero. Although Brest didn’t have too many chances, when he did get forward, he looked dangerous. Moreover, he was awarded a penalty kick in the 71st minute.
The penalty was taken by striker Islam Slimani. He shot from his position towards the right post, but his attempt was fantastically cleared by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaruma. He scored a rating of 8.2 and was the second best man of the match.
PSG thus maintained their unbeaten run. After seven rounds, it rules Ligue 1 with 19 points, collected for six wins and one draw.
