Martin Fenin was one of the 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans in Barcelona. The match went well for his former team, Frankfurt advanced to the semi-finals of the Europa League after the win, but after the match something happened that you don’t want to experience at football.
Thirty thousand fans of the German Eintracht Frankfurt travelled to Barcelona, where their team played a rematch with the local team in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
The fans of the German team were very pleased that among them was their former player Martin Fenin, who was certainly one of their favourites.
The Germans put in an excellent performance on the pitch and in the stands and advanced to the semi-finals, but after the match something happened that most people don’t like to see in football.
Fenin was attacked by a few supporters of the Catalan club, first he was thrown to the ground, then he got a good kick on the ground.
Things calmed down after that. Of course, it is not certain what happened before that, but this act cannot be excused in any way.
Fenin posted the video on his Instagram and credited it to the fact that he and his wife were attacked and subsequently jailed for 36 hours.
