VIDEO: Like father, like son? 19-year-old Beckham Jr. showed overseas that converting direct kicks is in his genes
He plays mainly on the right wing, has excellent kicking technique and his name is Beckham. Sound familiar? No wonder. Romeo probably won’t have as successful a career as his father David, but he’s not doing too badly overseas.

Of his three sons, only one actually got rich
The legendary David Beckham has three sons. While the youngest, Cruz (17 years old), has never really taken to football, the eldest, Brooklyn (23 years old), has tried out the academies of the LA Galaxy, PSG and Arsenal thanks to his father’s stints. In 2015, however, he decided to quit football.
Only the middle Romeo (19 years old) stayed with football, through the youth of Inter Miami, the club founded and owned by his father David, he has now worked his way up to the B-team and looks like he could have a promising future ahead of him.
He can’t be expected to perhaps have a similarly successful career as his father, but it’s certainly not to be dismissed and he can turn professional without too much trouble.
Romeo Beckham boasts great technique
romeo, 19, plays for Inter Miami II in the MLS Next Pro competition, where talented players play before moving to the highest level, the MLS. He is playing his first season in this competition and is not doing badly at all.
He has taken his place on the right wing and in 14 games he has scored 1 goal and collected 7 assists. He scored his first goal on Sunday night, when he took a direct kick and increased the score to 3:1 in favour of Inter Miami II. He notched an assist on the game-winning goal.
It should be mentioned that Romeo is really honing his direct kick and his kicking technique in general. After all, even before he moved from the youth to the reserves, he was bragging about taking direct kicks in training videos.
However, his kicking technique is great not only for standard situations. He can keep it in the game as well. This season, he has even had a game in which he scored three assists directly from play. In short, a great feat.
So it seems that, at least overseas, the skilful Romeo Beckham could make a decent dent in the world of football.
