Real Madrid are the only unbeaten team in the top Spanish competition after last weekend, having ended Barcelona’s unbeaten run with a 3-1 win. However, the Catalans made amends in the very next game.
At the Camp Nou they welcomed Villarreal, who are in the middle of the table after ten rounds. And it was a welcome in style. After the first half, there was virtually no need to play.
In fact, Barcelona destroyed their opponents for the first 45 minutes. Whether it was possession or shot attempts. They were clearly the better team and it showed in the score. Robert Lewandowski scored the first goals of the game in the 31st and 35th minutes, while Ansu Fati made the final 3-0 in the 38th minute.
It was a spectacular performance, especially for the Polish sharpshooter. He crossed an important threshold. He has already scored more than 600 goals for club and national team, more specifically 601. Of course, not many people can boast of that.
And Lewandowski’s two goals are definitely worth watching. In the first one, he showed his vast experience and calmness of mind when he worked the ball around defenders, turned and scored.
And his second goal is a real treat. It’s no coincidence that it’s being compared on social media to a typical Wayne Rooney finish.
