Petra Kvitova is not having the best time of her career. Nevertheless, she can be pleased that she won the WTA poll, where the best stroke for the month of April was voted.

The native of Bílovec is currently only the 30th woman in the WTA world rankings. She has lost four of her last four matches.

In her last matches, Petra Kvitova lost to world number one Iga Šwiatek, Magdalena Frechová, Karolina Pliskova and Jil Belen Teichmennova.

She was supposed to make up for it in Rome, but she withdrew from the tournament. The tournament in the Italian capital was scheduled to take place next week.

Kvitova is therefore expected to appear on the Grand Slam courts at Roland Garros, which starts in Paris on May 22.

However, one thing must have made the Czech tennis player happy. In her duel with Pliskova, she pulled off a superb countershot that was voted the best shot of April in the WTA poll.

Kvitova was not enough for Pliskova in Stuttgart, losing 4::6, 6::4 and 6::7.

the 32-year-old tennis player won 9 matches this season, while she notched up 10 losses. She has earned just under 381 thousand dollars in tournaments this year, or just over 9 million crowns.
