VIDEO: Knockout of the year! The Brazilian took his opponent’s soul with a jumping knee in his UFC debut, his body went lifeless to the ground
UFC debut? A moment that is an event every fighter will probably never forget in his life. It’s all the more beautiful when he manages to win. And when it’s done in the style that Vinicius Oliveira did, it’s definitely something you won’t forget.

Saturday night was a wonderful night for fans of combat sports. There was an unnumbered UFC gala at a relatively European-friendly time.
The main event in Las Vegas featured Martin Buday’s conqueror Shamil Gaziev. Then on the prelims card, former Oktagon fighter Ludovit Klein flashed a spectacular knockout to dismantle his less experienced opponent.
One wanted to believe that in addition to winning, the Slovakian fighter would get attention by delivering the most beautiful finish of the entire UFC gala, but no. Brazilian debutant Vinicius Oliveira took all the attention.
The UFC offered what was probably the KO of the year
The name Vinicius Oliveira doesn’t ring a bell? Understandable. The 28-year-old Brazilian only got to the UFC in the second half of last year via Dana White’s Contender Series. He’s a big deal, though. He boasts a record of 20-3, with only two of his fights ending on points.
He’s won 16 fights by KO/TKO, 12 of them in the first round. It wasn’t until the third, however, that he earned his first win in the biggest MMA organization in the world in his debut, finishing Bernard Sopaj in insane fashion.
Oliveira lost the first round, but was a little better in the second, managing to take it for himself. He then completely dominated the third.
But decided not to rely on the scoring judges. He put it all on one card and went for the finish. He got it at 4:41.
Oliveira unleashed an awesome series of punches, which he finished with a brutal jumping knee. His opponent went down unconscious and no further action was needed. An absolutely phenomenal debut that will be remembered for a long time.
