VIDEO: It was boiling here! Yan couldn’t contain his emotions at the weigh-in, compared the UFC prospect to prostitutes on the side of the road
UFC 280. This Saturday. Great fights, lots of emotion. And we could see the emotion at the public weigh-in, with Peter Yan and Sean O’Malley in particular sparking things up. There were some interesting comments made.

Abu Dhabi is going to have a spectacular tournament on Saturday. A lot of attractive fights got even more spark after the public weigh-in and press conference. But the biggest buzz was generated by Peter Yan, who will be challenged by Sean O’Malley.
This is an interesting fight for the Russian, especially since he has virtually nothing to gain by this bout. He has everything to lose. O’Malley is not one of the top bantamweights in the rankings and he has no experience with such strong opponents.
But if there’s one thing O’Malley has, it’s popularity and a large fan base. He could be a marketing blockbuster for the UFC in the years to come. That’s why this fight will be interesting.
Plus, Yan couldn’t keep his emotions in check at the weigh-ins. He shoved the American fighter and you could tell it was going to be a heated fight. The winner could be the next title challenger.
But the Russian, as he hinted during the weigh-in, is not disheartened by his opponent. On the contrary. He wasn’t even afraid to insult his appearance. “Just look at him. He’s like a d**k on the side of the road,” Yan allowed himself to be heard.
He didn’t insult O’Malley, though. Rather, he amused him. So much so that even the American had to point out that it was a good joke.
