VIDEO: Is he crazy? Did the Valencia stopper kick Vinícius like that out of frustration, did he mean to hurt him?

Real Madrid defeated Valencia 2-0 in the 17th round of La Liga on Thursday after goals from Asensio and Vinícius. However, what Valencia stopper Gabriel Paulista did lost all logic.
The home side were clearly the better team from the start, but carried over the shooting bad luck from Sunday’s 0:0 game against Real Sociedad. Marco Asensio had three chances in the first half-hour, but didn’t convert once.
Valencia were practically not dangerous and only defended Real’s attacks. This continued in the second half, when Asensio put an end to Real’s shooting spell.
He opened the scoring with a beautiful shot from distance, and a minute later Vinícius added a second goal after a break down the left wing. The Brazilian footballer showed that the criticism of the last few days had worn off and he enjoyed the rest of the match in a relaxed manner.
After he and Camavinga toyed with a couple of players on the left side, he escaped and dribbled the ball past Valencia stopper Gabriel Paulista. However, the Brazilian stopper kicked Vinícius in the leg out of absolute frustration without any chance to play the ball full force.
Luckily, Vinícius was able to jump in and no injury resulted. But this could have been much worse. Paulista, of course, saw an immediate red card for his butchery and will be suspended for at least 3 games.
With Real already having injuries to Eder Militao and Karim Benzema, another injury to the mainstay would have been a disaster.
Especially in this busy schedule, with Real facing the Club World Cup next week, followed by the Champions League semi-final with Liverpool.
