Real Madrid played a Champions League semi-final return leg against Manchester City on Wednesday night. They lost 3:4 in England and had to play to win. However, there was no goal scoring. However, the football world is rather wondering how it is possible that Casemiro finished the match without a card.
The first match as an advertisement for football, the second one not so much. Manchester City managed to beat Real Madrid 4-3 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, but could have scored more goals.
In the return match, however, the main issue is how it is possible that Casemiro, who is renowned for his tough and at times even vicious play, played the match without receiving at least one yellow card.
Casemiro has not seen many red cards in his career, only two. But according to many football fans and experts, he should have seen more red cards.
And what did he do against Manchester City? For example, he took down Kevin De Bruyne in an exemplary fashion and didn’t even get a yellow card.
Then his actions after he clearly fouled Phil Foden were particularly interesting. To avoid a yellow card, he feigned injury.
However, these were not the only two fouls committed by the Brazilian. Football fans thus showed creativity and had many funny comments on social media.
It is worth mentioning then that Casemiro was substituted in the 75th minute, when Marco Asensio replaced him on the pitch.
