The Champions League semi-final offered us an interesting duel between Real Madrid and Manchester City. The opening match ended in a 1-1 draw, so the winner of the rematch will advance to the final. At the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on Tuesday, Alfie Haaland, the father of the City striker, was in trouble for provoking the home fans.
In the opening semi-final match, we saw Real Madrid take on Manchester City in a 1-1 draw. Vinícius scored for the home side, while Kevin de Bruyne scored for the away side.
Real’s defence managed to defend Erling Haaland, but his father Alfie was on a rampage in the stands. He was watching the game from the VIP box and had to be escorted out during the second half.
The reason for this was a clash with the fans, with Haaland taunting them, even having many insulting them and throwing food at them. There are also several videos to prove this behaviour.
Haaland himself no doubt heard something from Real supporters, but he was unable to control himself and security forces took him to the bowels of the stadium due to fears for his safety.
Real fans were also concerned after the game because the visitors scored a rather questionable goal as the ball crossed the touchline before the attack.
However, the referee conceded it and the result rather favours Manchester City, who will host the match next Wednesday, for the rematch. By then the final opponent will be known.
