It hasn’t even been a month since Sean Strickland lost the UFC middleweight championship belt. He was defeated on points by Dricus Du Plessis in a five round bout. Now the American fighter has made amends against the controversial influencer, who he gave his all. On top of that, he got a tempting offer from Jake Paul.

UFC 297 offered an excellent show on January 20. The main event of the evening in particular was a feast for the eyes. Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis battled for the middleweight championship. Strickland was the champion, but Du Plessis was able to defeat him on points in a close battle.

Not surprisingly, the American was disappointed. The match could easily have gone his way. The judges didn’t have it easy. Sean, however, accepted the loss, although he complained about an eye-poke that should have affected his performance. Of course, his South African opponent refuses to accept that.

Either way, nothing will change. Du Plessis is the new champion, Strickland will have to fight for his place in the limelight again. But now he’s getting his act together after the loss and he’s set his sights on the controversial youtuber or streamer who goes by Sneako.

Sean Strickland took on a youtuber

Sean Strickland is simply his own man. He has his opinions, he has his style, he has his head. He is straightforward, in fact his personality can be described as unreadable. He’s got a bunch of demons he’s fighting. That’s why he’s not for everyone.

So trying to train with him if you’re not a pro might not be a good idea. Influencer Sneako, who the former UFC champion has already boxed with at the UFC Performance Institute, knows his stuff.

Not that Strickland is exactly holding back, that can’t be said. He was hitting the influencer with clean, hard punches. He was primarily aiming for the head. This resulted in a towel being thrown into the cage. Twice. Both times, the UFC star continued to fight.

UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin had to step in to save the youtuber. It is definitely worth noting that Sean constantly talked to his opponent. He was verbally abusing him, putting him down.

“Once we get to three minutes, you’re going to feel a lot more pain. Nothing you can do can hurt me. This is the moment when you realize you’re going to have a really bad day in the next minute,” came from the former champion’s mouth.

And Sneako did have a bad day. Once Strickland stopped hitting him and you could see his face, it was obvious that his nose was bloody. However, the American fighter eventually appreciated just how much the influencer took.

The UFC star gave the nod to Jake Paul’s offer

Provocateur Jake Paul, who is constantly on the lookout for other potential opponents, responded to the video circulating across social media.

“You weren’t able to finish someone with no experience, even though you fought to the fullest. You’re a terrible boxer, you only pick on inexperienced people. We can spar on camera. If you win, I’ll give you a million dollars,” came with an interesting offer.

Of course, Sean Strickland had to answer that as well. He reminded Paul of his defeat to Tommy Fury. Plus, he told him that money can’t buy happiness.

“Jake Paul is an absolute joke. He only fights old retired MMA fighters, he sells sugar water to kids. If it was legal, I’d take your life with a smile on my face. Is there any place I could take his life and not be punished?” the former UFC champion wrote on Twitter.

“Money can’t buy happiness. You have a lot of it and you’re still a p***. No cameras, just you and me in the desert. That would make me happy. No Instagram, no likes, no games. Just you are what I want.”

However, it’s extremely unlikely that any Strickland vs. Paul battle will ever come to pass.
