VIDEO: Down to the wire! Ayew prevents his team from losing in the last seconds with a beautiful bicycle kick

Ghanaian Andre Ayew saved his team from their first loss of the year in the 19th round of the French Ligue 1. He scored two goals in just twenty minutes on the pitch and the equaliser just seconds before the end of the match was really worth it.

At the age of 34, his glory days are behind him. But he still has a huge talent, which he showed in the 19th round of Ligue 1. He scored one of the most beautiful goals of the season and of his career.

The Ghanaian striker Andre Ayew has had a rich career, scoring goals in the famous Premier League. However, in recent years he has stepped back from the spotlight.

After not making many appearances for Nottingham last season, he returned to the French top flight in November, where he defends the colours of Le Havre.

Unfortunately, even in the north of France, he hasn’t had it easy and has been on the pitch rather sporadically. The situation was not helped by his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, where he tried to follow up the silver medals of 2015 with Ghana, in which he was one of the architects of the success.

Unfortunately, Ghana did not even advance out of the group at this year’s tournament and so Ayew returned to his club. In doing so, he has built on his previous seasons and only started yesterday’s game at Lorient on the substitutes’ bench.

Ayew showed his experience and shared the points with two goals

Although Le Havre opened the scoring just after the quarter hour mark, Ayew had to watch from the bench as the struggling home side turned the game around with two goals. In the 70th minute, it was the Ghanaian international’s turn and the visiting coach was definitely right to rely on his experience.

In the 85th minute, he first headed a well-taken free kick to level the match. And although the home side managed to regain the lead in injury time, the two teams shared the points in the end.

Ayew got to the ball just twenty seconds before the end of the set time inside the big whitewash and with a quick bicycle kick took the smile off the lips of the home fans. A wonderful football moment.
