VIDEO: Fantastic save by De Ligt! That’s how he kicked a certain PSG goal off the line

Bayern’s duel with PSG was probably the most anticipated Champions League semi-final. The German team came away from Paris with a one-goal lead, which Vitinha could have equalised in the first half, but Matthijs De Ligt intervened with a fantastic save.

De Ligt’s even more scintillating moment came in the 38th minute. Goalkeeper Yann Sommer received a pass from the Dutch stopper, but instead of taking the rebound, he took the knee and tried to pass between the pressing Mbappé – Hakimi pair.

Logically, this was not a good move, Hakimi poked the ball out to Vitinho who fired into an empty net. It looked like PSG were about to take the lead when suddenly, with a great slide, de Ligt arrived and kicked the ball off the line.
