Yesterday he contributed his third goal of the season to the 3-1 win against Giannina. Legia Warsaw striker Tomas Pekhart also made his qualities known, contributing to the 2-0 win against Stal Mielec.
Thirty-two-year-old Darida signed for Aris Thessaloniki in January this year, where he moved from Hertha Berlin in Germany. So far, he has managed to appear in thirteen games, scoring three goals and notching three assists.
The third goal was scored in yesterday’s match against the Greek club Giannina. Aris Thessaloniki won this match 3-1 and consolidated the fifth place ahead of Volos by gaining full points.
The experienced midfielder has his share in this position, as he has been playing with great ease since his arrival from Berlin, as evidenced by his goal yesterday.
Aris will most likely be in the group of six that will play for the championship title and the European Cups.
Darida and co. will probably face very tough games against Olympiakos, Panathinaikos or the derby against PAOK Thessaloniki.
Another Czech footballer who scored a goal over the weekend is Legia Warsaw striker Tomas Pekhart. The native of Sušice helped his team to a 2-0 victory against Stal Mielec.
The thirty-three-year-old Pekhart could not only be pleased with the victory, but also with the fact that he scored his 100th league goal in first league competitions, which put him in the club of league cannonballers.
Since his return in January, he has managed to start in seven competitive matches in which he has scored four goals.
