The Polish KSW organization has had its last gala evening of the year. It was led by a mega fight between legends, namely Mamed Khalidov and Mariusz Pudzianowski. However, other duels also impressed. There were eight early finishes.

Saturday night was a night of MMA. Not only did the UFC host its last gala of the year. In neighboring Poland, KSW also hosted its last tournament, this time with the number 77 card.

KSW 77 took place in Gliwice, a relatively short distance from the border with the Czech Republic, where, among other things, the Polish organization plans to hold a tournament in February. Specifically in Liberec. And the fans could not have been lured by a better tournament than the one on Saturday.

A card with eleven matches offered eight terminations before the limit. Perhaps all of Europe watched the main event, which was catered by legends Mamed Khalidov and Mariusz Pudzianowski. And this fight between the two greats was one of those that ended in the first round.

A great tournament was put to shame in the first match

The gala evening kicked off with the only women’s match of the entire tournament. The talented fighters Wiktoria Czyzewska and Aleksandra Karasaeva made their KSW debut. And it’s impossible to say that the girls were waiting for something.

Their fight lasted only one minute and 12 seconds and it was over. The 18-year-old Polish girl scored her second win in her professional career.

However, the card was varied and also offered successful submissions. The first one was scored by Shamad Erzanukaev, who landed a rear-naked choke in the second round on Carl McNally, who had no choice but to tap out.

Almost at the same time, but on the same technique as Erzanukaev, Yann Liasse scored the victory, who for a change “choked” Adrian Granak.

To give us some variety in the submissions, 28-year-old Michal Domin delivered a triangle in the next match. He scored his second win in his fourth KSW match, finishing the fight with less than half a minute left in the last round.

It is worth mentioning that his opponent was only 20-year-old talent Patryk Likus, for whom it was his second loss in KSW. Otherwise, he also has two wins in the Polish organization. This is definitely an interesting prospect for the future.

No more submissions

However, a series of three KO/TKOs followed. One of those finishes was taken care of by Ukrainian talent Bohdan Gnidko. Doesn’t his name ring a bell? Then know that he is only 21 years old and already has 9 wins to his credit, all of which came in the first round.

It was the second fight for the Ukrainian in KSW. It took him just 38 seconds to beat Madalin Pirvulescu. And his finish was worth it!

Another talent, Patryk Kaczmarczyk, showed incredible pressure afterwards. He has a 9-2 record at the age of 24 and this win was quite important for him. After joining KSW, he lost two fights and won two, and fell in the last one.

Now he’s back on a winning streak and literally destroyed German fighter Pascal Hintzen. It took him a very respectable 68 seconds to end the fight.

The last finish not mentioned was by the seasoned Andrzej Grzebyk. He needed to get back on a winning streak after two losses in a row and was crossed by the equally experienced Brazilian Oton Jasse.

It is worth mentioning that Grzebyk had lost three of his last four fights before this bout. Overall, he has lost six times in his career, holding a streak of nine straight wins between 2016 and 2020. He also defeated Marcin Naruczcka, who fought in the Octagon.
