The No. 1 pick of this year’s draft showed his skill when he was the quickest to find the net after a shot from an angle. Using his speed and deft hands, he circled the uncovered net and slid the puck in to be presented to him after the game.
Then Pastrnak went on a rampage
But Chicago’s lead didn’t last long. At 11:22, Trent Frederic tied the game after interplay with Brandon Carlo and Matthew Poitras. The first period ended with the score tied.
The Bruins had more of the play in the middle period. They shot more often and deservedly turned the score around. David Pastrnak showed his shooting skills and sent Boston into the lead with his first goal of the season. Milan Lucic had an assist.
In the final period, Chicago fought for the equalizer, but failed to do so. With time winding down, they tried a goalless draw, which didn’t go as planned, as Pastrnak closed the scoring to 3-1 after a pass from Brad Marchand.
Boston Bruins won the first game and got the first three points in the standings. The Chicago Blackhawks, on the other hand, suffered a defeat after their opening win. David Pastrnak scored his first two goals of the year and deservedly became the star of the game.
