VIDEO: Bizarre exclusion! Former Barcelona player disturbed the referee at the video review, received a second yellow card
Some of the yellow and red cards in the history of football could certainly be categorised as bizarre. Another one of them was made by a Los Angeles Galaxy player on Saturday night. He certainly didn’t help his team.

Major League Soccer regularly offers beautiful soccer moments. The still underrated soccer league is gaining in quality and is definitely worth watching at least in passing. But as well as offering beautiful situations, it also offers the occasional bizarre one.
Los Angeles Galaxy defender Martin Cáceres took care of one of those bizarre ones in a match at the Dynamo Houston.
The 36-year-old footballer, who has defended the colours of clubs such as Barcelona, Juventus and Lazio Rome in the past, got himself sent off in a senseless manner.
The Galaxy are experiencing a disastrous start to the new season. Out of six games, they have not won a single one, lost three times and drawn three. All the more reason to expect Cáceres to be among the movers and shakers.
After all, in addition to his European experience, he has over 100 games in a Uruguayan jersey and has played at the World Cup. But he was rather naive in the match against Houston. When he had a yellow card and Los Angeles was down by one goal, he allowed himself a second card.
For what? The referee was reviewing the video of the penalty area to see if Houston should take the penalty. Cáceres followed him and interrupted him while checking the video. The head referee didn’t hesitate and sent the Uruguayan off.
Houston took the penalty anyway and added a second goal. Cáceres did not help his team, but rather the opposite.
