Paris Saint-Germain defeated Japanese team Kawasaki Frontale in a friendly match. The French team only needed two goals to win. The first was scored by Lionel Messi, the second goal was scored by Arnaud Kalimuendo, who scored after a wonderful action!
It was only the second friendly of the summer for the Parisian club. The first one was played on 15 July when PSG played against Rouen (2: 0).
Today, on Wednesday 20 July, Christophe Galtier’s charges beat them 2-1, with the decisive goal coming in the 58th minute.
The Parisians started this great action in the Japanese team’s hexagon, with the 20-year-old Kalimuendo at the end of it.
Kawasaki also had their scoring chances during this contest and managed to put the French defence under pressure. However, Kawasaki were unable to take advantage of any of them.
That is, until the 84th minute, when thirty-two-year-old midfielder Kazuya Yamamura came to the fore after a professorial centre and a well-placed header.
The home team took one more corner kick at the end of the match, but Kawasaki did not create any more significant scoring opportunities in the rest of the match and lost to PSG 1:2.
The Parisians will continue their Japanese tour when they play another match against Urawa on 23 July. At the end of the month, fans can look forward to the French Super Cup, with the league kicking off on 5 August with Lyon and Ajaccio.
