VIDEO: Bayern beat Leverkusen, talented Musiala shines, Schick doesn’t finish

The Bundesliga continues after the national break with the eighth round, which opened with Bayern and Leverkusen on Friday. Both teams are not doing as well as they thought they would. The ruler of the last ten seasons of Germany’s top football competition entered the match from fifth place, not a position the Bavarian giants are used to. Leverkusen were just above the relegation zone. How did the match look?

Munich continued to be the better team after the break. Mané had a great chance in the 55th minute, but his shot from the penalty spot was saved by Hrádecký. Just a few tens of seconds later, the Senegalese footballer scored. However, VAR subsequently called off the fourth change of the score because the goal was preceded by a foul by the home team.

After an hour Schick left the field, but he did not threaten Neuer’s goal. The Czech international was replaced by Iranian Sardar Azmoun. At the same time, Adli replaced Hudson-Odoi.

In the 65th minute it was Amine Adli of France who could have eased the scoreline. But his shot was deflected by Bayern’s unshakable number one. Fifteen minutes before the end of normal time, Adam Hložek appeared on the pitch in place of Moussa Diaby.
