VIDEO: Balotelli silences Galatasaray fans with a spectacular direct kick

Mario Balotelli is having a successful season in Turkey and at the weekend he managed to score a great goal in the net of the famous Galatasaray Istanbul. However, his shot was not enough to win the match.

The bad boy of Italian football? More like a thing of the past. It seems that in Turkey, under the guidance of his compatriot Vincenzo Montella, Mario Balotelli has managed to tame his ego quite a bit and can deliver consistent and quality performances.

In the jersey of Adana Demirspor, the 31-year-old striker and once great talent has already played 32 games with a solid record of 14 goals scored and 6 assists. Adana is now in the middle of the Turkish Super League table.

The Italian striker has even been so good this season that there has been very loud talk about his possible return to the Italian national team. In the end, however, it didn’t happen, which the Italians may well regret, as they didn’t qualify for the World Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar.

Over the weekend, Balotelli shone with a performance against one of Istanbul’s famous teams. Adana travelled to the ground of Galatasaray, who are definitely not having an ideal season and are now only 11th in the league.

The Italian striker scored a beautiful goal in the match, reducing the score to 2: 3 in the 67th minute from Demirspor’s point of view. He scored from a direct kick and boasted on his Instagram about how he silenced the Galatasaray supporters.

Apparently, Turkey is a good fit for Balotelli. He is also under contract at the club until the summer of 2024, so it is possible that he will stay in the top flight there for a few more years, although he could still definitely dazzle fans in better competitions with his qualities.
