VIDEO: Almost like Poborský! Schick could only watch from the half court, Hložek watched a beautiful lob from the bench

Bayer Leverkusen lost again. This time it was beaten by Eintracht Frankfurt. At least Patrik Schick and Adam Hložek got to experience the action. Their opponent Jesper Lindstrom emulated Karel Poborski’s legendary goal.
Karel Poborský is a legend of Czech football. Especially in the national team he scored several iconic and even legendary goals. One of them was in 2003 in the net of the Netherlands during the qualification for the famous EURO 2004.
The Czech Republic defeated the Dutch 3:1 and Poborský scored the second goal of the match with a wonderful strike, securing a two-goal lead after a beautiful pass from Pavel Nedved.
Both Adam Hložek and Patrik Schick know this goal. Just like every fan of Czech football. And now they could see how Jesper Lidstrom, the star of Frankfurt, got into their net in a similar way.
Eintracht destroyed Leverkusen 5-1 at home and it could have been worse. The Danish talent increased it to 3: 1 when Schick was still on the pitch, while Hložek watched a beautiful goal from the bench.
Just like Poborsky, Lindstrom had a breakaway down the right side. However, not after a beautiful pass, but rather because of a mistake by the opposing defence. He then headed it towards the opponent’s goal and although the Czech legend shot from outside the sixteen, the Dane headed it a little closer to the goal.
He followed up with a beautiful lob into the net with complete calmness and clarity. A beautiful moment of football.
