Venice vs. Lazio: Preview and betting tips
Lazio take on newcomer Venice in their last game before Christmas. It will be a battle between a quality defence on the home side and a quality attack led by Ciro Immobile in the away camp. What to expect from the game?

Venice, as a newcomer to Serie A, have been performing unexpectedly well. They are 16th in the table and have a seven-point lead on the relegation places. On the other hand, they are five games away from a league win.
Lazio, on the other hand, are not happy with the way the season is going, winning only two of their last six games and are only in eighth place. They are three points behind their fifth city rival AS Roma.
David Okereke is firing in the home team’s jersey, the Nigerian international scored four goals and assisted once, but then got injured. Goalkeeper Sergio Romero is also performing well after his transfer from Manchester United.
On Lazio’s side, the team captain Ciro Immobile, author of thirteen goals and two assists, cannot be forgotten. Midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has five goals and five assists.
I have already mentioned the good form of goalkeeper Romero. The former Argentina international is a big part of Venice having the third best defence from the second half of the Serie A table. They’ve only conceded 31 goals.
Paradoxically, eighth-placed Lazio have scored two more goals than the home side, but on the other hand they have the league’s third best offense. Immobile and co have already scored thirty-six goals, only Inter Milan and Atalanta are better.
Given Immobile’s form and the nice odds, I recommend betting on the away side to win.
