We’re a week away from Conor McGregor’s serious injury soon, yet his fight with Dustin Poirier continues to be highly discussed. What did Karlos Vémola, who once went through something similar, say about the Irish fighter?

Conor McGregor suffered a nasty injury in the first round of his fight with Dustin Poirier, when he broke his leg after stepping on it.
However, he continued the fight and was stopped by a doctor after the first round. He has now had surgery and is planning a comeback, which he won’t see this year.
“I wish him a speedy recovery. I know how unpleasant these injuries are and I know how much he wanted this fight. Conor kept on fighting, he was aggressive. A normal person would have passed out from the pain, holding his leg. He didn’t, Conor kept fighting and yelling that it wasn’t over, that it would continue,” Vémola said on his Instagram.
The latter had a similar injury in the past when he had his arm broken in a fight with Jack Hermansson.
“I’m a stubborn jerk, I should have knocked it off but I got my arm broken and now I’m sitting in the hospital,” he said at the time.
Vémola hasn’t had the best time of his life this time around either, after a series of injuries he tore a muscle and had to forget about Stvanica. Instead, the Pirate will appear in the match against Marcin Naruszczka.
