Vancouver turned the game around in the final period, Filip Hronek contributed to the turnaround
The Vancouver Canucks confirmed their role as the favorite against the Predators in the third period, when they needed only 12 seconds to turn the score around and won the game 4:2. However, if it wasn’t for the fastest turnaround in franchise history, the favorite could have been in trouble.

Nashville controlled the game for 40 minutes
Nashville was the favorite in this game. They took the lead at the end of the 1st period when Thatcher Demel was outplayed by Jason Zucker. However, Vancouver tied the game early in the second period when Juuse Saros was beaten by Elias Linholm after a pass from Zadorov.
However, although the home team was more active in terms of shooting, Nashville showed a lesson in productivity. In the 31st minute, Ryan O’Reilly, an experienced and seasoned playoff scorer from his days in St. Louis, scored on a power play after a pass from Filip Forsberg.
The game remained unchanged until the end of the period, although the Canucks offered the Predators two more power plays. Vancouver, however, struck twice in the final 12 seconds of the game. First, Pius Suter tied the game, but the original goal was credited to Quinn Hughes and the assist to Czech quarterback Filip Hronk.
Vancouver scored the fastest two goals in franchise history
But after reviewing the video, Suter was found to have a touchdown and the Czech’s subsequent assist was taken away. Something similar happened to Nathan MacKinnonin an Avalanche jersey this season and he lost the opportunity to break the record for most home games in a row in which he scored.
Dakota Joshua turned the game in Vancouver’s favour and was voted player of the game with two goals and one assist, overshadowing Vancouver’s offensive aces. He also sealed the game with an empty net goal.
The Canucks’ most productive player in the regular season, J.T. Miller. Vancouver took the lead in the series and his two goals in 12 seconds is a new club record. However, Nashville showed great resilience and made it clear that, especially on their own ice, they will be a big task for Vancouver.
This series is being watched with great anticipation by the home fans, as the current best Czech defenseman is in the game, and he is having the season of his life in a Canucks jersey. And his possible help at the home hockey championship would be very useful for the Czech team.
For Vancouver, given the regular season and the roster it has, it would be a big disappointment if it didn’t advance further in the knockout stage.
