Vaclik: Messi better not come until next year. He turned down the offer from Arabia, the finances are nice, but..

Tomáš Vaclík waited a long time for a new job until he finally decided to join MLS at the end of the summer. Hemay even play for the New England Revolution against Messi.
Viktoria Žižkov, Sparta Prague, Basel, Sevilla, Olympiakos, Huddersfield. Tomáš Vaclík has a very solid football CV, to which we can add the long-time number one of the Czech national team.
But at the age of 34, he is on the threshold of a new adventure. He’s heading overseas to play in the MLS, where they don’t call soccer anything other than “soccer”.
With the arrival of Lionel Messi, the league has seen a big boom, boosted by the arrival of other ex-Barcelona players. And it is with Inter Miami that Vaclik could meet, but he would prefer to leave the clash for next season.
“I’d rather run into him next year in the regular season. If Inter could erase the loss and make it to the playoffs, they would be the favourite. Messi will miss a few games for the national team, so it might not be so hot,” Vaclik told Sport.cz.
Vaclik last trained with the team at the beginning of May, since then he has been without an engagement. There was talk of Cologne being interested, but he would only be a number two, which was not ideal before the upcoming EURO.
At the same time, the Czech goalkeeper had an offer from France, which he was considering a lot. In addition to Turkey and Cyprus, there was also an offer from the king of the summer transfer period, Saudi Arabia.
“I received an offer from Saudi Arabia. Financially, it was the best offer of all, but we agreed it wouldn’t be worth the money. We didn’t know what would be waiting for us there. It would be a life in a completely different world,” Vaclík explains.
