Silesia has lived to see it. The Real Fight Arena organization is heading to Havířov for the first time and local heroes will face opponents from all over the world at the RFA 10 tournament. The evening will close with the 66 kg champion Václav Sivák, who will be facing his first defence.
He won the title under Real Fight rules at RFA 7 in a crazy battle against Patrik Zader and is grinding his teeth against another challenger. In addition to Sivak, viewers can also look forward to Boris Glezg, Tobias Le or the successful amateur making her first appearance among the pros, Veronika Zajica.
As at all previous galas, RFA 10 will also feature fights under the rules of MMA, Real Fight and Real Boxing.
The defending king of the stand-up disciplines
The name Vaclav Sivak is a real name not only on the domestic, but also on the world fighting scene. The extremely talented and technically proficient fighter crushes one opponent after another in standing bouts and his opponents fight him practically just to survive.
This was exactly the case for both of his opponents he faced within the Real Fight Arena organization. The first was Alexis Laugeois, who showed impeccable durability. However, he was no match for Sivak in terms of speed and clearly lost to him on points. Sivak’s second bout will go down in bold letters in RFA history.
It was the first and so far only title fight in the history of the organization. This was matched by the way the duel with Patrik Zadera brought the crowd out of their seats. Sivak came closest to the end at the start of the 3rd round when he landed a hell of a right high kick to the head. Záděra miraculously survived it on points, but did not threaten the first ever champion Sivák.
Silesia against the rest of the world
One of the fastest growing gyms in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is Jayman MMA Fighting Systems in Havířov, which is sovereignly run by our best referee Jakub Müller. Although none of his charges have been officially announced yet, they definitely won’t want to miss this event on home soil.
The RFA 10 tournament in Havířov will also feature faces we have already seen in this organization. The talented Tobiasz Le will be looking to atone for his last loss, when he outpointed Mark Bakhita for the first two rounds, but the scoring judges saw him lose in the eyes of many fans.
Boris Glezgo also has an even record in the RFA and will be looking to get back on a winning streak. Veronika Zajícová, who lives in Dublin, Ireland, will also make her professional debut. Under the tutelage of world-renowned coach John Cavanagh, she has been making strides and can only hope for a dominant win from her debut among the pros. We will find out if she can do it on May 13 at the RFA 10 tournament.
