Ústí nad Labem vs. Vysočina Jihlava: Preview and betting tips

The second round of the Fortuna National League will open with a match between the two winners of the first round, with Ústí nad Labem welcoming Jihlava. Will the home side take another three points or will Jihlava succeed and put themselves in a good position to return to the elite?

Ústí nad Labem entered the second league season victorious. In a five-goal shootout, it finally beat Třinec, scoring the decisive goal in the 84th minute.

Jihlava was in control of the home match with Varnsdorf from the 54th minute. The two-goal lead lasted almost until the end, until the visitors reduced it to 1:2 in the second half.

Ústí relies on central midfielder Michal Bílek, the skilful midfielder scored three goals and assisted four times last season, he also scored a week ago against Varnsdorf. Adam Čičovský is also doing a great job, the 17-year-old talent had a hand in six banks (3+3) last season.

Jihlava’s mainstay Tomáš Smejkal left before the season, so they have to rely on other offensive-minded players. Ecuador’s Luis Arroyo scored five goals and assisted on three last season, while stopper Filip Vedral scored seven times.

Estuary’s defense didn’t work in the first game either, and in the last six games, the Northerners have scored thirteen goals.

Jihlava, on the other hand, is boasting of its defence. Only in one of the last six games did they get more than one goal. Therefore, given the quality of Jihlava’s squad and the good form of the defence, I expect the visitors not to lose the match.
