The updated WTA rankings are still dominated by Australia’s Barty. Barbora Krejcikova is still third among Czech tennis players, while Karolina Pliskova dropped to fifth place. Petra Kvitová has moved up to 21st place.
The first three places in the updated ranking have not changed. The world number one is still Ashleigh Barty of Australia, who has 8330 points. Aryna Sabalenka, the runner-up, has about three thousand points less. The Czech Republic has a representative in third place, Barbora Krejcikova.
Karolina Pliskova dropped one position in the rankings to the current fifth place. The Czech tennis player was overtaken by the Spanish Badosaová, who has a narrow lead of 80 points over Pliskova.
As for the other Czech tennis players, Petra Kvitová improved by four places and is now ranked 21st. Markéta Vondroušová, who is now 35th, has made a similar move.
On the other hand, Tereza Martincová and Kateřina Siniakova have dropped slightly in the rankings. Martincova is now ranked 42nd, with Siniakova six places behind her.
However, six players in the Top 50 is a great achievement and it shows that the Czech Republic is one of the tennis superpowers in women’s tennis.
The Czech Republic has two more representatives in the top 100, the sixty-second-ranked Muchova and the ninety-sixth-ranked Bouzkova. Overall, the Czech Republic has eight tennis players in the top 100.
The doubles rankings must still be pleasing to Czech fans. The world number one is Kateřina Siniaková, the second is Barbora Krejčíková. Both tennis players have a comfortable lead over the third Belgian Mertens.
