Unnecessary. These are the players Real Madrid want to get rid of

Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rüdiger. These are the current signings for Real Madrid, who could bring in at least one more player, ideally in attack. But the squad is not inflatable and there can only be 25 players in the A-team in La Liga. Therefore, someone has to leave first.

Real Madrid had a dream season last year. First, it won the Spanish Super Cup, then it dominated La Liga with ease and topped it all off by winning the Champions League.

However, in the summer transfer window, he has not been idle and has brought in two reinforcements to fight for a place in the starting line-up. However, the Royal club also needs to free up some roster spots, so who should leave the Santiago Bernabéu?

Mariano Diaz

First on the list. But it’s Mariano who will be the hardest to get rid of. Real have already found the 28-year-old striker a new engagement both last year and this year, where he would play regularly, even share his big salary, which smaller clubs in Spain logically cannot match.

But Mariano has gratefully declined, preferring to retain his status as a Real Madrid player, even if he just sits in the stands all season. Los Blancos are already so desperate with his reluctance to leave that they are even considering an early termination of his contract, which runs until 2023.

Ancelotti has made it clear that he doesn’t count on Mariano by giving him the fewest minutes (20) of the entire squad in preparation, along with Odriozola.

Álvaro Odriozola

Odriozola spent last season on loan at Fiorentina, where he played 25 games with a 1+2 record. But there is a lot of competition for his position at Real, with Dani Carvajal the clear leader at right-back, Lucas Vázquez backing him up and Nacho playing reliably. In addition, the Brazilian youngster from Castilla, Vinícius Tobias, is also looking for his chance.

The 26-year-old Spaniard has no place in the squad and is looking for a job elsewhere. His contract is still valid in Madrid until 2024 and his value according to the Transfermarkt website is 12 million euros.

Borja Mayoral

Another unneeded player who could free up a place in the squad. Borja Mayoral was a guest last season at AS Roma in the autumn and at Getafe in the spring, where he made six appearances. At the moment, he is the number two striker behind Karim Benzema, as Mariano is not counted on at all and there is no other “nine” in the squad.

The 25-year-old Spaniard is under contract at Madrid until 2023 and is worth €9 million according to Transfermarkt.
