Are you a fan of MMA and the UFC? Then mark the date of November 12 in your diaries and calendars. Because there will very likely be a huge fight and an even bigger draw on the card.

Dustin Poirier will return to action for the first time since his loss to Charles Oliveira in December. This is a man who is one of the best fighters on the planet and who would definitely deserve a title shot, but he didn’t come up against the Brazilian in a title fight.

His opponent would be Michael Chandler, a former Bellator champion who fought for the title after coming to the UFC and, like Poirier, was no match for Oliveira. Besides that, he was no match for Justin Gaethje in a memorable fight and in his last fight he knocked out Tony Ferguson in fantastic fashion.

Moreover, things have been simmering between Poirier and Chandler for a while now. They even went at it once in Las Vegas in front of Moravian fighter Jiri Prochazka.

A win could mean another title shot for either fighter. The situation in the lightweight division is really interesting. This is quite possibly the most interesting and best filled weight division.

Popular journalist Ariel Helwani came up with the information, and he has some of the most accurate information on the entire MMA scene. So it’s only a matter of time before everything is officially unveiled.

Poirier himself has already announced on social media that fans will soon get information about his next fight. So it is almost certain that the fight with Chandler will actually happen.
