The UFC has had an absolutely phenomenal tournament hosted by London’s O2 Arena. The fans filled the entire arena and created a fantastic atmosphere that made the fighters want to put on a full show.
As a result, nine of the twelve fights that took place in the tournament ended early. Seven of them ended in the first round. Even UFC boss Dana White got excited.
So when it came to handing out bonuses for the performance of the night, White decided to reward anyone who managed to end their opponent early. Nine fighters received a handsome $50,000 in addition to their base payouts.
Muhammad Mokaev, Paul Craig, Sergej Pavlovic, Makwan Amirkhani, Ilia Topuria, Molly McCann, Paddy Pimblett, Arnold Allen and Tom Aspinall can all enjoy the bonuses.
“They all deserved it. This night could not have been better, a better script could not have been written. It couldn’t have turned out better than it did. The matches were amazing, everyone gave it their all, winners and losers alike,” White expressed at the press conference.
Additionally, the UFC announced that the London event was the highest grossing unranked tournament in history.
