Oktagon 35 with a special gift for fans
Apart from the interesting fights, Oktagon 35 has prepared a lot of interesting surprises for its fans. Besides revealing his plans for the next months, he surprised the Winning Group Arena in Brno with a special gift.
After the main card of the tournament was slowly getting underway, there was a moment that brought all the spectators out of their seats. The UFC champion Jiri Prochazka appeared on the screens, and in his own words, he came to share the winning vibe with everyone present.
But it didn’t all stop at the screens. In fact, the Moravian samurai himself appeared in the hall and, wearing a red kimono with the UFC champion’s belt, made his way to the center of the octagon. The crowd went wild and the fighter himself was no different.
UFC champion Jirka Prochazka came to the cage
“Don’t let me get on the floor, it throws me into a whole different ballpark, ” he began his speech. ” After all the pressure and two years of preparation for this big fight, it’s finally a little bit of a letdown,” he described his feelings after winning the UFC title.
“I can finally sit down with my coaches and set those workouts and those goals, that’s what I’m enjoying now,” he described how a stone fell from his heart after the win. He is currently in negotiations with the UFC for a title rematch with Glover Teixeira.
“Our position is December in Las Vegas, there are a lot of variables, maybe it will be early next year, but it doesn’t matter,” he outlined negotiations with the world’s top league. “As I said, every game now will be a title game and we will defend, but we will hold the belt for a long time,” he promised all fans.
“This arena gives off an unreal vibe and I thought I would never experience these moments again,” he said when asked by Ondrej Novotny what he thought of the atmosphere in the Winning Group Arena in Brno.
“Before the title match I stood there, it was a moment I was looking forward to all my life and somehow I didn’t feel any tension and here I feel much more tension,” he said enjoying the moment in front of the home crowd.
Procházka then asked the fans to raise the typical chant of “victory” as he left the cage to a chanting crowd. An extraordinary experience for all present and pay-per-view viewers.
