It’s here. Jiri Prochazka will fight tonight as the first representative of the Czechoslovak scene for the title in the best MMA organization in the world. He will face Glover Teixeira. How does UFC boss Dana White predict the fight?

A big day for Czechoslovak MMA. Moravian fighter Jiri Prochazka will fight for the UFC welterweight title when he challenges reigning champion Glover Teixeira.

Teixeira is 42 years old, has a great life story behind him, and is the second oldest title holder in the UFC. He’s had to overcome a lot of challenges. But now his biggest problem is going to be the Walk.

The native of South Moravia has been praised by his former opponents, with Volkan Oezdemir predicting him to become the champion of his division right after his first fight in the UFC. And now he is very close to it.

One could almost say that in the duel between Prochazka and Teixeira we will see a duel of two styles, however Prochazka has already shown several times that he can escape from impossible positions, while Teixeira, in addition to the ground, has a great stance.

And what does UFC boss Dana White expect from the fight? First and foremost, he said that style makes fights, alluding to the speed with which the Moravian fighter got to the title fight.

However, it can’t be said that he was clear about the outcome. Rather, he offered a few questions to go along with the upcoming fight. “Glover does have a lot of power in his hands, he’s knocked out a lot of people, but I imagine he’ll try to take the fight to the ground as quickly as he can against Jiri,” he expressed in an interview with ESPN MMA.

Beyond that, White highlighted Teixeira’s ability to take anyone down whenever he pleases. “Can Jiri keep the fight on the feet? If not, can he submit? Glover is praised because he has a knockout punch, a hard chin and his ground game is incredible. He can take anyone down at will,” the UFC boss added.
