She was the first Czech woman in the UFC, however, the organization didn’t spare her much and gave her one tough opponent after another. Moreover, Lucie Pudilova was still relatively young at the time and had a lot of room for improvement.
When she quit the UFC, she signed with the Octagon and made a few changes. She tried several gyms and now trains under the legendary John Kavanagh, who is, among others, Conor McGregor’s trainer.
Under Kavanagh’s guidance, Pudilova has improved more than just her stance. She is also working on her ground skills, which were her weakness. And that’s what will come in handy in her first fight back in the top organization.
Besides her, however, there will be other great fights at UFC 278. In particular, the title rematch between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards will be a real highlight.
