Jiří Procházka is close to his goal. He wants to become the best fighter and he can prove it this Sunday morning when he fights Glover Teixeira for the UFC welterweight title. What to expect from the duel and what to bet on?

The biggest fight in the history of Czechoslovak MMA. Moravian fighter Jiri Prochazka will take on Glover Teixeira, the current welterweight champion, in the main event of the numbered UFC 275 tournament and in a title fight.

According to the bookmakers, Procházka is the favourite not only in our country, but worldwide. According to ESPN, Teixeira has only a 21% chance of winning. This is of course great, however the fight will not be as easy as these predictions make it seem.

Teixeira is great on the ground, which in turn is Procházka’s weakness. However, the Moravian Samurai has had plenty of time to prepare for this one. After all, he said himself that he is grateful that he was able to train his weak side thanks to the preparation for this fight.

Prochazka’s goal is to dominate in every aspect of the fight. Even if he takes it to the ground. It will be very interesting to see how he performs. He can be expected to rely on his faster movement and his invisibility.

However, let’s make no mistake. While Teixeira is presented as a great ground and pound fighter, he’s also dangerous in the stand-up department, as he proved against Jan Blachowicz. He has finished many fights via KO/TKO.

If there’s one thing Prochazka can count on and why he’s rightfully the favorite, it’s how he can handle real crisis situations in fights. There have been many times in his fights where it looked like he was in trouble. Yet he managed to get through it all and turn the fight around.

Even in the UFC, he has given the fans some heart attack moments and that can be expected against the experienced Teixeira as well.

The sure thing, however, is a bet on the rounds. Neither fighter’s fights often end on points, quite the opposite. Therefore, we can expect to see less than 3.5 rounds.
