UEFA Super Cup change. Winners of European competitions would face a team from MLS
The current Champions League as we know it will soon end and be replaced by a new format with more matches. No stone will be left unturned on the UEFA Super Cup either, as the organisation is looking to make improvements for the sake of greater profits.

UEFA is currently working on how to make its tournaments more attractive and above all generate more profits. At the moment, the European Super Cup has always been shared between the winner of the Champions League and the winner of the Europa League for one match on neutral ground.
UEFA’s idea is to turn the one-match final into a ‘final four’ tournament, where the Champions League winner, the Europa League winner, the Conference League winner and the MLS winner would compete in a small tournament.
Why the winner of the American competition when it’s the European Super Cup? The USA is the key to this idea, as the tournament would not be played in Europe, but in America. The overseas market is seen by UEFA as key in further development, which could bring more viewership and therefore more profits.
The tournament would have four matches, two semi-finals, a battle for third place and a final. This would mean one extra match for all teams, which is not welcome in a busy schedule, but as it is a pre-season tournament, it would cut down on the teams’ preparation.
The idea is still being worked on, nothing is official at the moment, but according to The Guardian, the new Super Cup could be launched as early as 2024.
