Each edition of the Champions League has its own ball, with a special version being created for the final. Since 2002, the Champions League balls have been supplied by the German company Adidas, and this year is no different.
For the 2021/22 finals, an elegant version of the pure white ball with silver stars has been chosen. Quite a change from last year’s final, when the ball was instead covered in all grey and only the white stars shone.
At the same time, due to the war in Ukraine, support is being expressed for this country, which was also immortalised on the final ball. Between the logos of Adidas and the Champions League we can find the inscription “Peace”, i.e. peace, and above it there is the same inscription in Ukrainian.
This ball will be kicked for the first time by Real Madrid and Liverpool on Saturday, 28 May at 9pm. The match will be hosted at the Stade de France in Paris with a capacity of 77,000.
Adidas has already created 21 final balls for the Champions League. Which one do you like the most?
